New Mayanot Women’s Program:
We are pleased to let you know that the Mayanot Women’s Program which opened
six weeks ago has 18 young women enrolled and is progressing with tremendous
success. The program, located in the beautiful Katamon neighborhood in
Jerusalem, has a comprehensive text-based curriculum with classes on a wide
variety of subjects. Balancing the highly academic curriculum is an open,
no-pressure environment where students are encouraged to advance at their
own pace. In addition to their studies, the students have thus far enjoyed
extracurricular activities such as tours in Jerusalem, shabbos in Tzfat and
Tel Aviv and farbrengens with Mrs. Bronya Shaffier, Mrs. Miriam Swerdlov and
Mrs. Olivia Schwartz respectively.
Summer Program:
Registration for the popular Mayanot Summer Program is in full swing at
www.mayanot.edu.
This program, which will take place from July 9th until August 12th,
is available for both the men’s and women’s programs. The summer program is
a great opportunity for many students who have a large summer break. It is
also slightly less intense than the other semesters and includes weekly
trips and shabbatons. We have a limited amount of scholarships for this
program for only $199 for tuition, room and board for the entire 5 weeks.
Fall Semester:
Applications for the Fall 2008 and Spring 2009 semesters at Mayanot’s men’s
and women’s programs are currently being accepted at
www.mayanot.edu.
Post-Birthright Extension at Mayanot Yeshiva:
Mayanot offers an extension option for participants of ALL
Taglit-Birthright Israel programs. For only $99, which covers tuition, room
and board, students can study at Mayanot for 3 weeks following their
Birthright trip.
Welcome!
We are happy to announce that Rabbi Yossi Witkes has joined the Mayanot
team. Yossi, who comes with extensive experience working with students
through his work with the Chabad on Campus national office, will be working
out of our North American office and will be available to assist you in your
efforts referring students to study at Mayanot. He can be contacted at
212-980-3414 ext. 109 or
yossi@mayanot.edu.
Please take a moment and think of young women and men from
your community or campus between the ages of 20 and 29 and refer them to
study for a semester or year at Mayanot. It will be the best thing you can
do for them!
No Hebrew or Judaic Studies background is required to study at Mayanot.
Scholarships and airfare grants may be available to those that qualify.

| Lauder Business School, is an accredited university of applied Sciences. |
The City of Vienna and the Board of higher academic education both had a strong role of encouraging and creating a Jewish university in the city of Vienna. The city, granted the beautiful buildings and grounds, which once were the dwellings of Austrian royalty, Maria TeresaA prestige "Fachochschule" degree, which is usually only awarded to universities with 1000 or more students, was given to the school, although we only aim for 240 students during the 8 semesters of this program.
Mr. Ronald Lauder and the Lauder Foundation, joined into this project, by donating 5 million Euros to restore the building, and Bank Austria, built new quarters on the campus.
At the same time, The Jewish Heritage found was established, to give an equal opportunity to Jewish students from Eastern Europe, hence, providing them with a full scholarship, which includes, on campus residence, and kosher meals. And to provide Jewish life and atmosphere on the campus.
The university has on campus programs, celebrating Shabbos and Jewish Holidays. There is also a possibility to study Hebrew and Judaic studies, taught by Rabbi Z. Edelman as part of the curriculum. We have students from all over the world, currently studying here. Our registration for October 2005 is still open.
